Tonight something really awesome happened...

I was Baptized!

This was an awesome celebration and public profession of what God has done in my life!

Baptism is a way for believers to identify themselves with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. Baptism is not a means of my salvation, but rather a representation and picture of an inward reality that I am identified with Christ through repentance and faith.

We are given the gift of faith (Eph 2:8) to believe and then are baptized. Baptism is not necessary for salvation and it is NOT salvation but it is commanded by God in Matthew 28:20. Tonight was a profession of my faith through baptism, signifying my death to sin and resurrection of a new nature in life through Christ.

We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Ripple Effect

Here's a song that my friend Daniel Orren wrote called, Ripple.

It's one of my favorite worship songs and actually...it's probably my life song.

I want to be used by God so badly, especially on UNCC's campus in the Nursing Program. I don't want people to see me, but I want them to see Jesus and have their own personal relationship with him.
